Busagula Health Centre III is a private not for profit (PNFP) health facility owned by the registered trustees of Masaka Diocese. It is located in Busagula Catholic Parish Kigangazi Parish, Bigasa sub-county Bukomansimbi District in Masaka Diocese. It is 56km away from Masaka town with the catchment population of over 4532.
Busagula Health was started in 2013. This was after Busagula sub parish was transformed into a parish and the priests who were posted there found it very hard to receive medical services because of the bad roads to Masaka and Villa Maria hospitals yet there was no health centers in the area that could provide quality services. It is then that the thought of constructing a health facility came up to provide health for the priests’ community and the surrounding community. With a joint effort from the parishioners and the community of Adelsdorf and Hannersberg in Germany funds were solicited and a foundation stone laid.
St Mary’s Nativity Busagula Health center was begun to provide first aid treatment but after some few years, it grew to provide the following services.

The facility has a governing body that is the health unit management committee (HUMC). The facility work is manned by a team of dedicated men and women including a registered comprehensive nurse, enrolled comprehensive nurse, laboratory assistance, cashier and other support staff.

- To increase the number of pregnant women attending antenatal at Busagula Health Centre.
- To increase the number of pregnant women delivering at Busagula Health Centre.
- To increase the number of patients coming for Health services.
- Community sensitization by use of VHT’s and churches.
- Making follow-ups on antenatal and delivering mothers by making phone calls.
- Conducting Health Education talks on Immunization and Antenatal days.
